Things have been busy here at Brandy HQ, I’ve been performing at the Riding Room, writing a guest blog for House of Trixie Blue and I had a photoshoot with the gorgeous Hettie Heartache in Edinburgh on Friday.  I’m also gearing up to perform in the London Burlesque Festival in May.  Phew!  If you fancy coming along to see me perform in London, it promises to be one helluva show – I’ll be in the Burlesque Ball on 14th May.  As a special treat, you can get exclusive 2-for-1 tickets at the London Burlesque Festival site when you enter the code ‘FRIEND’ at the Ticketweb checkout.  It would be fantastic to see you there.  Moving on from my subtle plug… 😉

I made my way to Glasgow on 25th Feb to perform in Roxy’s Round-Up: Cabaret Showcase and I had a brilliant time.  You can find photos from that night in the Gallery.  It was lovely to meet Roxy Stardust (she’s a good laugh) and hang out backstage with Tallulah Belle and Miss Dancelicious (and the rest of the Riding Room team).

Since my last update I’ve also made an impromptu performance in the Burlesque Ball Middlesbrough, which was my first two act slot in a big show.  It was amazing performing with Kiki DeVille, Trixie Blue, Ebony Silk and Scarlet Rose – I loved every second of it and we all got along really well.  The Middlesbrough Empire is absolutely gorgeous too, with Art Nouveau decor inside and a massive stage.

Trixie invited me to guest blog about the benefits of burlesque lessons, and I jumped at the chance.  Training can really work wonders, if you’re thinking of taking lessons and fancy a read you can find my post here.

Finally I got to shoot with Hettie Heartache on Friday, and she is a very talented person indeed!  We spent most of the day taking photos to the sound of Post Modern Jukebox, which was sometimes really funny – ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ anyone?  I can’t wait to share the photos with you very soon.

I think that’s all for now. My next gig is on 19th March in Glasgow at the Burlesque Ball.  If you’d like to come to see my huge showgirl headdress in action, if for nothing else, then you can get £10 tickets on Wowcher at the moment – with a deal like that, how can you resist?

Hope to see you there,

Brandy x
